The SHM SHINE New Attending program is designed to equip newly graduated hospitalists with the essential knowledge and skills to succeed in their inpatient roles. Through a blend of panel discussions, small group coaching, and optional office hours, you'll deepen your clinical expertise, enhance communication and professionalism, and improve your efficiency in the hospital setting.
Sessions will feature practical discussions on billing, documentation, patient transfers, team management, consulting, and handling challenging encounters—providing space for participants to share experiences and ask questions. The program is tailored to support your transition into independent hospital medicine practice. Gain valuable mentorship and join a community dedicated to advancing hospitalist excellence.
Who should sign up: New hospitalist attendings in the first 1-2 years of practice. Registration for the cohort is limited to 50.
